MOVE.BG was born in the wake of the 2013 Bulgarian protests, which were an act of collectively manifested rebuttal of the status quo. Moreover, the protests were a public statement for change. However, not everyone was fully aware of the deep effects of that process.
People had various motivations to participate – the formal government, which unites individuals with doubtful reputation, acts of harsh intervention in nature due to private interests, a working environment based on the standards of the 80s, the lack of a feeling of justice and perspective.
In a broader societal level, the protest was the first sign of collective awakening, of a life in a new world with new rules. The fight against the status quo was not solely a Bulgarian phenomenon – the people who sought societal transformation, express their will in Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Albania, and the Czech Republic. Moreover, global movements for change were born. In every country, the formal reasons and context were different, but the aspiration was the same - to move forward from the current old system.
This process continues.
This is the protest of the people of the future, who refuse to live with the rules from the past.
This is the process of self-organization of persons, who bring ideas for a life with a global dimension and awareness of nature’s needs as an integral part of their moral system. This is the movement of the people who understand their personal success through the success of the community both in business and societal perspective.
This is the New Renaissance in which we live.
Its apostles are the guys and girls who create new businesses for shared economy, breakthrough technologies for space, alternative forms of energy production, and innovative products based on artificial intelligence. They are the volunteers who promote a sustainable, zero-waste way of life and organize mountains cleanup initiatives. They are the researchers, developing disruptive scientific concepts. They are the artists, creating integral performances, combining the digital and the real world in a bold way.
They are the people who replicate the status quo in a positive way.
Six years ago, MOVE.BG created a platform for connection of those people and a forum for spreading, developing, and supporting their ideas. Our work is dedicated to the cause of positive societal change and sustainable development in Bulgaria through innovation, education, active leadership, and shared values.
Our project was not understood entirety, because there was no existing example to compare with.
Since 2013 we have always done one thing - paving the way to the New World, affirming its formula and people who bring that new paradigm to Bulgaria.

This theory of change is implemented by gamification formats, which affirm new forms of civil inclusion and involvement; by avant-garde forums for connection and exchange of experience between innovators in three sectors: digital economy, brave art, and in green lifestyle; by educational instruments and practical workshops for life by the rules of the New World; by professional researches, which focus on future societal development; by creation of a shared space for connection and stimulation of the process of co-creation between social innovators.

Our most meaningful achievement is that we connect people who are creating our future today, and encourage and inspire them for brave joint steps. We affirm the value system of the New World together with them – the value system of sharing, collaboration, contribution, and respect towards nature and the people.
Those people are “The ChangeMakers of Bulgaria”: the individuals who create innovative solutions in Bulgaria and from Bulgaria to the world. They are the growing army of the awoken once and positive innovators who influence society with their ideas, inspire others with their achievements, and practice the freedom to co-create together as a model of a happy life.
Six years later, they are visible and ever more conscious of their mission.
