Describe yourself?
Kind-hearten and well-wishing, looking for ways to give meaning to my existence and leave a trace behinf. I am inspired by people such as Levski, Botev, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King and wish to helo and do deeds as theirs. I am loyal and devoted to my friends and the causes, which I embrace and strongly believe in. I am energetic and impulsive at times, often naïve, enthusiast in nature. Sometimes though, I start several things at once and face difficulties to lead them to an end.
What do you believe in absolutely?
I absolutely believe in the virtues and the need to have them in our lives so that we can create beautiful and sustainable things in time. We need to know and remind each other that the process of evolvement is crucial for the individual, organizational, local or social growth. They are longer lasting than the scientific researches. Therefore, as Aristoteles encourages, let each of us as a citizen, politician, employer, magistrate, activist, journalist… works for the setting of conditions for us to be able to be virtuous for Bulgaria in our cities and villages, in our homes and abroad.
What is the biggest challenge in your work?
One of the greatest challenges is the creation of opportunities of active involvement of the people in the working process through placing them in the centre. Another major challenge is the overcoming of the lack of trust and the building of confidence in each other, meaning working with the thinking and behavioural patterns, the mind and spirit.
What do you like most in Bulgaria?
The mountains and the fields. I was born in a mountainous area and have been wandering around the hills and plains around Razlog. I find them very symbolic: mountains always hint us where we want to be at, and like trees, where to look at, that is up high towards higher goals and aspiration of the spirit and sould. The fields on the other hand are the place which reveal and teach us the means how to reach these goals. On the field, one learns nature’s laws and principles, and morals which can also be traced in the traditional Bulgarian sayings.
And what is it that you don’t like?
I don’t like people’s belief that power gives opportunities with no boundaries, that all depends on the politician or the oligarch, the mayor or the boss; that the civil initiative doesn’t matter. We constantly find someone else to do the job and put the blame on the others. This conviction makes us passive in an environment, which requires more than ever to be active. I wish for us to understand deeply that we are all responsible for our lives and our country.
A thought close to your understanding of life?
“Unity makes strenght”. I believe more and more that this thought has been very promptly selected as the slogan for our country. I have met people with integrity, organizations which reach success through team work, local communities relying on combined methods and synergy to attain growth. There is nothing more inspiring than such people and communities, and I wish to be like them and an initiator of such.
"The need for change is ever more present. To me, at this stage, it is expressed in the need to find a new model, based on more personal engagement with the national processes and national interests’ definition by the very citizens. I truly believe, that MOVE.BG as civic organization leads us on the way to change"
