In February was held the fifth edition of our Nights for dreamers – a celebration of the failed ideas.
We gather you to laugh and drink together about adversity and small stumbling stones on the path to big success. The event was doubly interesting because our guests were couples - partners in life and work together in joy, but also in adversity. We heard interesting stories, we laughed and even sang. One of the main culprits for this became Anna Yanova-Katur and Jared Katur - the first couple of the February dreamers linked together by music and love.
Anna and Jared honestly can’t recall a time in their lives in which there was no music present. In 2010 she follows her dream and goes to study music in America where she works with one best musicians and tutors. She sings on one stage with Stevie Wonder, Shaka Han, Eric Benet and Michael Sown and releases her first album ‘’Up!’’. Even though she has a lot on her plate, Anna managed to meet Jared- a professional guitarist, teacher, musical director and composer. The couple has numerous gigs in Los Angeles, travels around the USA and makes music for two TV shows. They are not just a family but also a group called Two Cities One World.
With Anna and Jared talked about love of music, the music of love, sharing successes, but also sharing failures, dreams and global inspiration.
How would describe each other in a sentence?
Anna: Jared is hilarious, creative, social, very talented and very hardworking man!
Jared: Anna is a sweet, pure, caring soul who loves to make music and be herself.
Is the shared failure less failure?
Anna: No, it is even greater failure because the responsibility of rest on more than one person. The good thing is that you help each other to get out of the situation together.
Jared: The shared failure is huge! It completely changed my life and location on the planet. So no.
Do the working day ever ends when you work with your partner? How do you relax?
Anna: It depends. Our work is very creative and sometimes takes us away and we forget about time as a concept. No, I may have a regime like a normal human being, I have a program for every day. Jared too. He even has an entire board with tasks for the day, week, month and objectives it has set for the year.
We relax in various ways - with music and walking in the park, playing with the dog, movies. I really like to read, but at my new hobby is knitting! A week ago I learned how to knit and now I have knitted my second scarf.
Jared: Depends... Sometimes we just work. Sometimes we stop at certain times. Sometimes we take breaks in the day. We don't really have a specific schedule in this regard.
We relax by taking a walk, watching a movie or going to the movies, making love, meditating, going to the mountains, weekend vacations, listening to music and playing games.
What do you dream to achieve together?
Anna: We dream about many things - our goal is to create real music, to stimulate intellectual and emotional our fans. Through music to talk and share the important things in life. We dream to travel around the world, performing and creating music that is truly in our hearts, because we don`t make compromises with music. That is the real freedom for an artist! Personally I dream to build the perfect home for us, and after a time, to create a wonderful family!
Jared: Global success as musicians with our band. Global inspiration. Liberty (being able to go where you want, do what you want and have what you want when you want it). Owning multiple houses in Bulgaria and in the US, have children and a awesome musical family, creating a dream house and building it.
